Nearly Ninety Flights Linked to Epstein Allegedly Came to or from British Airports
Analysis has uncovered that approximately 90 flights connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein are said to have arrived at and departed from UK airports, with some allegedly having onboard women from the UK who claim they were exploited by the convicted sex offender.
Aviation Records Uncover Trail of Movement
The flight logs were part of a trove of legal papers and papers released by Epstein’s estate that have been made public over the previous twelve months. The investigation found 87 aircraft movements linked to Epstein – encompassing many that were hitherto undisclosed – coming into or leaving from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Onboard Individuals and Post-Conviction Travel
Unnamed female passengers were recorded among the individuals flying to and from the UK. Significantly, 15 of these flights involving the UK occurred following Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for procuring prostitution from a child.
“It was ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘comprehensive British inquiry’ into his activities in the country,” remarked American attorneys representing numerous Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
Testimony from one of the British victims aided the conviction of Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. However, that victim has never been contacted by UK authorities, according to her Florida-based lawyer.
In a response, the Metropolitan police indicated they had “not been provided with any further evidence that would support restarting the probe.” They noted, “Should new and relevant information be presented to us, encompassing any resulting from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will review it.”
Ongoing Disclosure and Legal Rulings
Proposed legislation to release all files held by the US government in relation to Epstein was approved by the US Congress last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to follow through. A vast number of files are expected to be released.
In a related development, a US judge ordered last week that the DOJ could disclose investigative materials from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s long-term associate, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence over the allegations.
