Series of Incidents
Since the beginning of the large-scale conflict in Ukraine, a series of Russian military officials have been attacked within Moscow.
This most recent event follows other notable incidents, such as:
- General Yaroslav Moskalik was died in a vehicle explosion in Moscow earlier this year.
- General Igor Kirillov was killed in late 2024 when a explosive hidden on a scooter was detonated remotely.
While a source from Ukraine in the past connected Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such allegations are not formally acknowledged as a matter of official stance.
The conflict has witnessed clandestine operations reaching into the streets of the Russian capital.
The examination into General Sarvarov's death is still ongoing.
